The main reason for booking this place was the animals and the option to reserve a trail ride or private yoga class. I message the host, Patty several days before our arrival to schedule in advance. Patty never got back to me with a day & time for the trail ride and yoga class. In fact, I messaged her 2x and even though she responded to my messages before our arrival and during our stay she claimed not to have seen my message. On the second day of us being there, she responded with “sorry didn’t see the message” with no explanation as to why I wasn’t able to book any of those activities. As for the house, it is definitely an old farmhouse that was partially renovated. The best thing about the house was the bathroom w/ the jet soaking tub and shower. As for the rest of the house, the plumbing had issues. The circulator for the heat was so load it kept us up for 2 days. The host wasn’t able to fix during our stay. The smaller bathroom had a very strong mold smell so we kept the door close during our stay. Most of the electrical outlets had no plates, unfinished upstairs that has a big opening leading to a crawl space, creepy. The 1” thick foam board wasn’t even nailed to the wall, just leaning up agent the wall to over the hole. I strongly suggest not to book if you have young children. Also bring your own sponge so you can scrub the dry eggs off the frying pan. Some of the windows had foam spray and they let in a lot of cold air so bundle up. This home looks better in photos.

We really enjoyed our stay in the working farm apt. The spa bathroom was spacious and beautiful, the kitchen cozy and the farm animals were so chill and sweet. The king size bed was comfortable. Communication w Patti was almost immediate. The farm workers were lovely to chat with. We appreciated they allowed our 80 lb dog. She's not allowed on furniture so a good traveler.I would like to suggest a sponge, drying rack and towels in the kitchen. We did have to clean a few things before using likely because previous occupants didn't have these expected items to do the cleaning. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend the location to others. Laconia, Alton and Wolfeboro close by and had what we were looking for in a relaxed vacation.
